Who else is addicted to Everything Bagel Seasoning? If you’re not, perhaps we should apologize because you likely will be soon. We were inspired by Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning (who else loves Joe?!), but we like this DIY version even better! It’s salty, savory, crunchy, and making it at home means you can use fresher ingredients.
This seasoning is the ultimate versatile topping — perfect for avocado toast, eggs, bowls, crackers (recipe…

He is close to tears. He is not physically hurt. No ankle has been twisted, no knee has been scraped, nobody needs their asthma inhaler.
The other boys are making fun of his size.
Most of the time he pretends it doesn’t bother him. But I’m the coach, and it’s pretty hard to miss.
I have watched him smile and try to shake it off. Sometimes he will parry with a comment of his own—something about them that they’re sensitive of…
I know this thing that they are doing. I call this “emotional arm punching.” It’s a rite of passage boys use to desensitize themselves to emotions, just like when they punch each other repeatedly in the bicep and try not to show how much it hurts.

For some years now, I’ve offered a yearly set of suggested projects for new startups in the rejuvenation biotechnology space. Or, alternatively, it might be viewed as a series of lengthy complaints about the slow pace of process towards human rejuvenation, given the many opportunities that exist. That slow pace is particularly galling in the case of the lowest-hanging fruit, a range of therapies that have been practical to carry out for at least a few years now, and yet have still not been meaningfully assessed for their ability to produce at least some degree of rejuvenation in aged humans. Given that the level of funding available to for-profit and non-profit ventures in the treatment of aging has increased dramatically in the last year, it is coming time to be <a href="https://www.fightaging.org/archive…

“The beautiful thing about setbacks is they introduce us to our strengths.” ~Robin S. Sharma
This has been the worst year of my life. Financial stress. Relationship problems. Being separated from my family because of the pandemic. Mentally I’m a mess. I thought I had hit rock bottom. But the worst was yet to come.
I had been ignoring health issues for years and finally dragged myself in for an ultrasound. I already knew I had a fibroid and had booked the ultrasound to check on it. However, as the sonographer explained, I now had innumerable fibroids. They had taken over my uterus and ultimately my life.
I remember starting to feel numb as she talked me through my scan. I knew there was no other option. I needed a hysterectomy, and I was terrified. I was…

Pantone has announced Very Peri as its 2022 Color of the Year. And yes, it’s basically a more purple periwinkle from the jumbo Crayola box (assuming your mom didn’t keep buying you RoseArt, UGH).
Pantone is getting very “the future is bright” with its color choice for 2022, and honestly, we’re here for it after two dumpster fire years.
According to Pantone, Very Peri combines the feels of merging our digital and physical lives (hey-o …

“Better to do something imperfectly than to do nothing flawlessly.” ~Robert H. Schuller
Here’s a confession: I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was thirteen years old when I first discovered the magic of words.
Here’s another: It was only at the ripe old age of twenty-six that I could truthfully call myself a writer.
Why did it take me so long?
I often think about that. Even today, when people ask me about my writing, I struggle to say that I am a writer. I am both proud and horrified, and I constantly wonder, what will I tell these strangers if I fail?
It doesn’t begin like that, of course. As a teenager or as a child, the confidence you have in yourself is unnerving. For instance, I remember reading Agatha Chr…
