Make Your Own Starbucks Protein Bistro Box – So easy!

I am a huge fan of the quick, grab and go Starbucks Protein Bistro Box because it’s filling and the macros aren’t too bad nutritionally.  the only thing I don’t love is the price of $4.95.  That means if you had one every day of the work week, it would cost you around $25 per week.  Seems a bit pricey to me!

Starbucks protein bistro box - Make Your Own DIY

I wanted to recreate this Starbucks Protein Bistro Box and make my own at home for MUCH cheaper, so this is what I did.  Oh…I also wanted to add some more greens and a little more protein in mine so that I could have it for a lunch instead of just as a snack.

What to buy:

  • Eggs
  • Slice of cheese (I got cheddar, but whatever cheese you want, will work)
  • Apples
  • Grapes
  • Peanut butter to go packs
  • Celery
  • Cucumber

I hard-boiled my eggs, cut up my veggies and made these cute to go packs for my lunches this week.  Total time it took, about 12 minutes because that’s how long it takes me to boil my eggs.  Aren’t they so cute!?

Trick: Sprinkle some lemon juice on your apples …

The debate was about how quickly Usain Bolt could run a mile.

Scientists, marathon runners, cross country coaches, Olympians, and others had one heck of a debate. People started calculating his pace from 100 meters or 400 meters and extrapolated that out over the course of a mile. Math geeks couldn’t get enough of the thought experiment.

So obviously this begs the question: “Well, how fast does he actually run a mile?”

There’s just one problem:

Can sexual abuse make you gay? The short answer according to new research is, no. Child sexual abuse is not a common cause of being gay. But, new research says that the opposite is true. There is something common in the childhood of homosexual men that makes them a target for pedophilia and sexual abuse — gender non-conformity.

Many homophobic religious institutions make unfounded claims about same-sex sexual child abuse causing homosexuality, like those coming from the pro-heterosexual, anti-gay activist group, Heterosexuals Organized for a Moral Environment (HOME):

Work Life Balance

“You will never feel truly satisfied by work until you are satisfied by life.” ~Heather Schuck

When I was two years old, my parents got divorced.

In other words, I’ve never seen my biological parents spending loving time with each other. I never had the chance to experience the small things most children take for granted.

For example…

  • I don’t remember my mom and dad ever sharing a loving kiss after a long day at work
  • I don’t remember ever having both parents around to tuck me in at night
  • And I never overheard simple “how was your day?” conversations between my parents in the kitchen

As a kid who didn’t know any different, I thought this was normal. I’d stay with my mom during the week and visit my dad on the weekends. No big deal, that was that.

Looking back, I’m lucky that even though my biological parents were separated, both my parents loved me unconditionally, and supported me whenever I needed it. (And I’m happy to say they still do!)

But, truthfully, the reason for the divorce still saddens me to this day.

The primary reason my parents divorced is because my father was a workaholic.
