Why would you consider taking the time to “reset” your health?
One of the top reasons is to gain more energy.
But, why would I want more energy?
Okay, this one is probably pretty clear. It almost goes without saying that having energy is the key to having an interesting and successful life.
If you are like me, you would like a bit more energy.
I think of when I first wake up in the morning. Are you like me? Would you appreciate being able to hop right up. And get started with the day just like we did when we were young?
How about in the middle of the day? Ever thought of having one more cup of coffee or one more candy bar to get through the afternoon? I am guilty of the extra coffee, but after losing 40 lbs. recently I won’t be tempting myself with chocolate.
And then at night, what if you had more energy to cook a healthy meal (instead of hitting that dreaded drive-thru)? Or pay more attention to the family? Or do something besides planting yourself in front of a screen for more Netflix?
What about the future?
But even if we think that we have all the energy we need – will it always be that way? What about down the road? If you take care of yourself today – it will pay you dividends in the future.

What is a “reset” anyhow?
A reset is just what it sounds like – taking the time to change up your system to start living healthier. A good way is to start is with a “cleanse”.
What is a “cleanse” anyway?
Basically, it is taking some time away from your current diet and giving your system a chance to “reset”. The typical format is to limit your diet to fruits and vegetables for a few days.
Is it easy? Depends on your system and lifestyle.
Is it worth it? Probably so.
Funny true story: I was asking my doctor about her advice on cleanses. She immediately thought of a colon cleanse. Yikes! So I had to explain in a bit more detail.
With our busy schedules this can be a difficult thing to do. But giving yourself a chance to improve your health is probably worth the effort, right?
