Don't Let Your Pup Chow Down on These 6 "People Foods"

Source https://greatist.com/eat/toxic-foods-for-dogs?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=feed_https–greatistcom–

Around the holidays, you may notice your pup transforming into a small and ferocious furry forager. Her finely tuned crumb radar kicks into full gear, and she can operate more swiftly and efficiently than your actual garbage disposal. And maybe you feed her a little something off of your plate, because (a) you’re filled with the spirit of giving, (b) it’s hilarious to watch dogs eat things from human utensils, and (c) she’s also kind of your best friend.

Hey, we get it—dogs are people too!— except for when it comes to what they should and shouldn’t eat. Unfortunately, a lot of the “people food” we think is harmless could make them… well, sick as a dog. To get a sense of which scraps are fit for fur babies and which might result in an unexpected trip to the vet’s office, we asked Gary Richter, M.S., D.V.M., and veterinary health expert with Rover.com, to tell us what our pups should steer clear of this holiday season.

Sometimes People Don’t Say Sorry—Why It Pays to Forgive Nonetheless

Source http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/tinybuddha/~3/uOlRKICQusA/

“Without forgiveness life is governed by an endless cycle of resentment and retaliation.” ~Roberto Assagioli

When I was a little girl, I used to wonder what my father was like. Was he a nice man? What did he look like? Did he think about me? Did he love me?

But, above all I wondered why he left.

I used to make up stories about him—one time I imagined him as a voyager traveling to foreign lands and picking up small gifts for me in every new place he visited. He met with the locals, and would learn new trades and languages. He’d tell them stories about how much he loved and missed me, and how he couldn’t wait to come home.

Another time he was a doctor stationed abroad helping to heal sick and impoverished children. He couldn’t come home because without him, those children would die, and when I was big enough, I’d travel to be with him.

I liked envisioning him as someone far away and out of reach, doing important work. In this way his absence made sense to me. But, the reality was not quite as heroic as I imagined it to be.

I first spoke to my father when I was a teenager and learned he was living in a different state and running his own business.

40 Week Pregnancy Update!

Source https://www.fannetasticfood.com/40-week-pregnancy-update/

Well, my friends, I wasn’t sure I’d get to write this post, but here we are and I’m still pregnant! I’ll be 40 weeks tomorrow (Thanksgiving Day!), so technically I’m not quite 40 weeks, but close enough. 😉 As you guys know, we have a C section scheduled for Friday because the baby is still breech, although of course she could decide to make her debut before then… only time will tell! Follow me on Instagram or Facebook if you want updates before I have a chance to blog them!
